At its session the
Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision to establish a National
Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. Advisor to the Prime Minister
of Ukraine Danylo Lubkivsky stressed at a briefing in the
Government House.
Henceforth, the
National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education is a
permanent collegial body authorized under the Law of Ukraine "On higher
education" to implement the state policy in the mentioned sphere.
The Agency shall
be responsible for elaboration of regulations on accreditation of educational programs,
license examination, preparing expert reports on a possibility to issue
licenses to carry out educational activity in higher education, as well as
performing a number of other measures to ensure the provision of high quality
higher education in Ukraine.
