Chairperson of Verkhovna Rada Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship Viktor Halasiuk presents program on economy development

At the morning briefing at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Viktor Halasiuk announced major items of the anti-crisis plan on the development of economy.

"This program is a complex document that envisions a number of key and primary steps, measures, reforms, laws to be implemented in five crucial fields to let the Ukrainians feel real positive changes brought by numerous reforms," the people's deputy said.

In particular, the list presented by Viktor Halasiuk envisions the following priorities:


Radical institutional reforms and combating of corruption: comprehensive replacement of the judiciary and prosecutor's office; optimization of the state management system; determination of personal responsibility of officials; and introduction of civil prosecution institution in criminal proceedings.

Financial stabilization: restructuring of the state debt of Ukraine; liberalization of the tax system; and control of economic border of Ukraine.

Achievement of energy independence: disbandment of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company and introduction of transparent pricing in the natural gas market; implementation of the state program on boosting natural gas production in Ukraine; implementation of the state program on large-scale energy modernization.

New economic course: creation of a system of state institutions and mechanisms of economy development; speedup of the economic development; accumulation of international financial assistance; and finding internal reserves to finance boosting of economic development.

Social development: national employment program; national health program; national competence development program.


The Chairperson of the Committee called on the colleagues to unite around this idea and make this document the basis of the socioeconomic program of the Government's activity. He added: "This will help us fulfill our promises we made when elected to the Parliament."
