Ukrainian President: Center of administrative services is new symbol of transparent and efficient government

In the course of the working trip to the Donetsk region, President Petro Poroshenko has taken part in the ceremony of opening the center of administrative services of the Mariupol City Council.
Petro Poroshenko called the given event another step towards transparency of government, struggle against corruption and bureaucracy using modern digital technologies.

“The center of administrative services is a new symbol of Mariupol, a symbol of transparent and efficient government – state and local. I am glad that it is a face of the Ukrainian authorities,” the Head of State said adding that his visit was devoted to the issues of regional recovery, not military issues.
“They will solve the issues that have previously used to take weeks and months. All offices will be transparent. I believe it is the right position,” he noted.
“Fiscal service, firefighters, passport issuance must be there as well. Everything should be concentrated here. This is the future of our state,” the President emphasized.
“I am glad that we have drastically changed the state in two years,” the Head of State added.
The President noted that a lot of changes had taken place recently – struggle against corruption, constitutional reform in judicial sphere, decentralization, which had doubled the budget of Mariupol compared to the year 2014.
The Head of State is grateful to everyone involved in the implementation of the project in Mariupol. He particularly noted support from the U.S. and the USAID program. The regional council and USAID have signed the agreement providing for the opening of such centers in four other cities of the Donetsk region. “It is vitally important that we open these centers along the touch line. This our mechanism designed to return the occupied territories under the Ukrainian sovereignty, for it is better to live here,” Petro Poroshenko stressed.
